The RBAC Cares Fund

The RBAC Cares fund program is a temporary initiative designed to provide fee reductions for qualifying applicants and their dependents based on established criteria. Individuals and families who have experienced significant losses due to the recent wildfires will receive a temporary waiver of RBAC program registration fees. If you'd like to support our employees, we are collecting gift card donations to help with basic needs and essentials.

Policy

The RBAC Cares fund program is a temporary initiative designed to provide fee reductions for qualifying applicants and their dependents based on established criteria. Individuals and families who have experienced significant losses due to the recent wildfires will receive a temporary waiver of RBAC program registration fees.

Procedures
  • Award Amount: Applicants may only receive the RBAC Cares Funds for one program at a given time. For families with multiple children or dependents, each child/dependent may receive only one award for one program.
  • Duration: Awards from the RBAC Cares Fund are granted for the duration of the specific program applied for, with a maximum period of three months. Extensions may be considered on a case-by-case basis. 
  • Renewals: Applicants must reapply at least one week before their current award expires to be considered for an extension.
  • Other Information: Please note that receiving the RBAC Cares Fund does not guarantee enrollment in the desired program, as participation depends on space availability. Additionally, awards cannot be applied retroactively, are non-transferable, and are distributed on a first-come, first-served basis until funding is exhausted.
Necessary Documentation
  • To apply for the RBAC Cares Fund under special circumstances, patrons must submit a letter addressed to the Executive Director or their designee detailing their situation. This includes patrons residing in evacuation zones who were financially impacted by the January 2025 fires in Southern California.
  • Proof of address must be included with the application, such as a current utility bill that displays the patron's name and address which must be in the affected areas of the wildfires.
  • Applications will be reviewed by the RBAC Leadership Team, who will decide. Please allow up to five business days for the review process. Decisions regarding the RBAC Cares Fund will be communicated via email, and awards must be redeemed within 30 days of issuance.
