Supporting A Community of Giving
Jeff Bennett Donor Spotlight
The Rose Bowl Aquatics Center (RBAC) is more than a world-class facility, it’s a community where lives are transformed, and friendships thrive. For donor Jeff Bennett, RBAC has been a central part of his life since he joined in 2006.
Jeff’s connection to swimming started with a personal milestone: learning to swim as an adult while working in Florida. That experience sparked his appreciation for aquatics and the role RBAC plays in promoting wellness.
“When we see something that needs fixing—whether it’s a social injustice or a community need—we should care about it,” Jeff says. Inspired by this mindset, he upgraded RBAC’s gym equipment three years ago. When he recently learned about RBAC’s new interim Executive Director, he reached out to offer support again.
For Jeff, RBAC is the heart of Pasadena. It’s where he swims daily, builds friendships, and experiences a true sense of community.
One moment that solidified Jeff’s commitment to RBAC was a conversation with a few young athletes at the RBAC. “I can’t think of excellence in sports without weight training,” he shares. As a professional engineer, Jeff values quality and sees RBAC as a top-tier facility where people of all ages can thrive.
Having swum in renowned venues worldwide, including Berlin’s Olympic Stadium, Jeff believes RBAC stands out. “I swim wherever I go, and RBAC is better,” he says.
Jeff sees his contributions as a direct way to make a difference. “Giving here lets you see the results immediately,” he says, pointing to the new gym equipment and vacuums his donations helped fund. He also encourages others to explore the tax benefits of donating appreciated stock to maximize their impact.
His support reflects his belief in RBAC’s mission and the importance of standing up for what matters. For Jeff, RBAC is much more than a pool, it’s a vibrant community where children learn to swim, seniors stay active, and people from all walks of life come together. “The RBAC is inclusive for everyone, from world-class surgeons to families who need financial assistance. We want everybody to swim here,” he says.
The RBAC is a place where everyone, regardless of background, can thrive. Your support big or small helps shape its future. Ready to make your first gift? Be part of the RBAC story today.
